THOMAS A. GRANT OF DAVIS FLIGHT SUPPORT COMPLETES ACQUISTION OF WOODLAND AVIATION
WOODLAND, Calif. - June 14, 2007 - Woodland Aviation, a leading Service and Sales Center for Hawker-Beechcraft with a long and successful 40-year plus heritage supporting the aviation industry, today announced its acquisition by Thomas A. Woodland Aviation will continue its operations at its current location and now joins Davis Flight Support, a new, full service premium Fixed Base Operator (FBO) located at Yolo County - Davis (Woodland) Winters Airport (2Q3) in Davis, California.
This acquisition of Woodland Aviation brings with it a dedicated group of senior, highly trained and specialized employees, many of whom have been with the company for many years. This experienced team compliments an extensive list of factory-authorized services consisting of Hawker-Beechcraft, Cirrus Design, Columbia, Garmin, Blackhawk, Tornado Alley Turbo, Honeywell, Shadin Avionics, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Bose, L3 Communications, Rockwell Collins, David Clark, J.P. Instruments, Sandel, Chelton and Raisbeck Engineering. Woodland Aviation provides a range of support from quick turn service to a complete avionics upgrade, major power plant or airframe modifications and repairs for both turbine and piston aircraft.
"This acquisition is part of our long term growth strategy and broadens our business platform and it's an opportunity to quickly increase our presence in the Sacramento, California geography by acquiring a market leader", stated Thomas Grant President of Davis Flight Support. "The combination of the two companies creates a formidable alliance at all levels in business aviation services and it's the aircraft owner, manager and pilots who truly will benefit from this move."
Mr. Grant further comments, "I've long been a loyal customer and enjoy the quality product produced by Hawker-Beechcraft, and I'm especially pleased to be associated with them at a new level and represent their product lines in sales and support. Last year Woodland Aviation had the highest unit volume sales for new aircraft for an independent dealer and with the existing territory in the North Western Region I fully expect to exceed what was accomplished last year."
Gary Pelfrey Vice-President, said, "Clearly there is a tremendous synergy between the two companies and we are ready to quickly move forward and take advantage of it. One glance at what we are doing with Davis Flight Support in new facilities and equipment demonstrates and sends a clear message the direction Woodland Aviation will be taken. We are providing a corporate destination, service and sales center that will simply alter the level of expectations from this point forward."
